BLOOM: CHILL & CHAT
On Saturday, 1 November, approximately 50 women - young and old - from our church met together at Trusia Burgers’ home for our quarterly Bloom. Twice a year our Bloom meetings are “Chill & Chat” mornings, which are intentionally relationship-building opportunities for our women within our gospel-community. We are grateful to Bharn and Trusia for so kindly opening their home to host us.
At this time of the year, yes, many of us are feeling a bit tired - it’s been a ‘long year’! And so, over coffee and eats, our women had the chance to relax together for the morning, meet and mingle, and connect with one another in a way that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to as easily in the current busyness of our lives. And these connections are precious and, we pray, will deepen over time.
Part of Chill & Chat’s is also to be encouraged by our testimonies of faith and God’s grace in our lives. Joanna Anderson, our Music Team Leader at church, shared her journey of faith in Christ with us, and of God’s faithfulness and his all-sufficient, amazing grace in the midst of years of personal struggles with infertility. The Lord is truly working out his good purposes in and through all who put their faith and trust in Jesus, and we often see this especially in times of personal hardships. Jo really encouraged us to keep trusting God and remaining faithful.
It was indeed a very special morning together as a community, and we look forward to meeting again for our next Bloom, at church, on Saturday 28 February 2026!
