MISSIONS PRAYER SUNDAY WITH CEF

Twice a month we meet to pray for our mission partners, one of whom is Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). This international and interdenominational organisation is very much ‘grass roots’ with ordinary folk running Good News Clubs (GNCs) in their homes for neighbourhood children. Children from as young as 2 up to 18 years old are welcome! CEF has 3 aims: to evangelize unsaved children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ; to disciple saved children in the Word of God; and to establish children in a Bible-believing church for Christian living.

Within CEF, our church support Marie Schoeman (Western Cape director) and Zander Ntsobi (Khayelitsha). Marie and Zander were able to join us at our between-services prayer meeting this past Sunday, encouraging us with their passion for children’s work and examples of faithful service week in and week out. They provided updates, such as Zander’s use of Google Meets for online GNCs, and shared specific areas for prayer. We then broke into small groups and lifted all these needs before God.

“What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer.”

  • For further information about CEF or if you’d like to get involved or support the work, get in touch with Marie (082 414 8687).

  • You can visit the local CEF office/library at 10 John Rumble Str on a Tuesdays between 09:00 and 12:30 to view their material, get ideas, or just have a hot drink, a chat and prayer.

  • For updates on how to support CCSW mission partners practically, join our Missions Updates Whatsapp Group. You can do so by getting in contact with Amy Allen (072 268 1262) or Freddy Ward (082 777 0099) and they will add you to the group.

  • You are invited to join us for our upcoming mission prayer meetings:

- Tuesday 14 October, 18:30-19:30, at the church.

- Sunday 26 October, 09:40-10:20, at the church.
