+CSW REPORT 2022

COVID WAS A DIFFICULT TIME FOR ALL OF US.

We made the decision for the staff to return to the church office as soon as the regulations allowed for it.

We applied the same principle to our gatherings and ministry meetings. We are very glad we did and have emerged from COVID with a community that is now growing and thriving. The Lord has been very good to us in that we experienced vey few members seriously ill and no deaths.

Our COVID services… all 50 of us : )

FINANCIALLY WE CAME CLOSE TO MAKING STAFF AND OTHER CUTS.

But again, the Lord provided through the generosity of his people and so far we are surviving.

HAVING TO HOST SYNOD THIS YEAR WAS THE IMPETUS TO BOLDLY STEP OUT IN FAITH.

We prayerfully made the decision to finance the completion of our building. This included an LED screen, fitting a kitchen as well as painting and maintenance to our old buildings.

CHURCH COMMUNICATION.

We consolidated our branding and communication strategy both with outsiders and within the church community. This lead to the design of our new website (which we used to create this report), a weekly mailer and more recently a church news blog.

A HIGHLIGHT THIS YEAR WAS OUR EASTER PROGRAMME

Along with having Rev. Peter Makapela as our main speaker at our Easter Mission, 200 people gathered for a spit-braai followed by a Last Supper service on the Thursday evening. Our Good Friday and Easter Sunday services were well attended.

HEROES ACADEMY!

It has been two long years without Holiday Club. This we had over 75 children each day along with a team of 10 leader. The theme was ‘Heroes Academy’ and we worked through the book of Luke together. All praise be the God for this wonderful week with the children!
