1. Submitted by the National Executive

SARS Changes/Updates to the constitution: It is proposed that a Constitutional Lawyer be engaged to review the 1938 CESA constitution and recommend revisions and updates which will ensure our founding document complies with current South African law, without compromising our doctrinal foundations.

2. General Motions: Submitted through the Western Cape Area Council

Ordination Process: It is proposed that in the normal course of events the process of Ordination shall be as stipuated.

3. General Motions: Submitted through the Western cape Area Council

Ordination: It is proposed that an updated, thorough Lifestyle Questionnaire be part of the application for becoming deacon or presbyter.

4. General Motions: Submitted through the Western Cape Area Council

Curacy: It is proposed that a ministry fund be established for curates in under resourced churches to bridge the shortfall that exists between the L.Min. curacy bursary and the minimum wage. This fund shall be administered by the National Executive. Where curates serve in resourced churches, the church will need to fund the salary shortfall.

5. General Motions: Submitted through the Weatern Cpae Area Council

Training: It is proposed that a standardized training criteria be implemented and applied to all curates. To do this we propose a review of the current L Min program by representatives from the Cape region.
