BAPTISM OF RANSOM KERSHAW
On Sunday 25 January, we had the joy of witnessing the baptism of Ransom Kershaw, son of Andre and Kate, at our 10.30am service. With them for the baptism stood Ransom’s godparents, Dillon and Gabby Klaasen.
Child baptisms are special and very significant events for our church community. Ransom’s baptism is a visible sign that he is now part of God’s family of faith by having been born to Christian parents. As Andre and Kate bring him up in the ways of the Lord, we pray that Ransom will take hold of salvation and eternal life by putting his faith and trust in Christ Jesus as his personal Saviour and Lord. An important role and responsibility of his godparents is to encourage him in this faith. As his church family, let us be praying for him, and always support and encourage Andre and Kate as they raise Ransom.
