MISSIONS YEAR-START TEA
We started the year with a gathering of some of our local mission partners and prayer team, this past Sunday. And what a blessed time it was!
All of the partners had at some point visited us and spoken at our between-services missions meeting - Noel and Jean Livesey, who head up Celebrate Recovery, joined us again; as did Tracy Elliott and some of her team from 4the1 in Sir Lowry’s Pass Village, Marie Schoeman from Child Evangelism Fellowship and Gavin Cooper, who heads up the Kairos Ministry to juveniles in Drakenstein Prison.
With tea and a few scrumptious snacks to lubricate our conversation, we chatted and encouraged each other. Each of the mission partners took a few minutes to tell us where they’re at as the year begins, after which we were able to spend time praying for them and giving thanks to God for his faithfulness in their work. We know that apart from God doing the work, all our work is in vain, so we commit our mission partners and ourselves to Him and His service, for His glory. May His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

We meet to pray together for our missionaries every 2nd Tuesday of the month at 18:30 and every last Sunday of the month between the morning services.
