PENNY ARCHIBALD
20 June 1945 - 10 August 2026
On Monday 10 August, our dear sister in Christ, Penelope (Penny) Archibald, went to be with the Lord. We held a Thanksgiving Service at Christ Church on Saturday 15 August. Penny was part of our church family for decades, serving faithfully in many ways, loving and caring for others, serving on our church council, hosting Bible Studies in her home, and being a wonderful wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend to many. Eventually she moved to Helderberg Retirement Village, and there she continued to shine as a light for Jesus in that community as part of our Christ Church congregation there.
Penny passed away quietly, surrounded by her loved ones. As we mourn her death, we don’t do so without hope, because we are assured that she is now with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who redeemed her and brought her into his eternal kingdom.
We thank the Lord for Penny’s life, and all that he did in and through her - all for his name sake and for his glory!
Pray for Penny’s whole family and all who knew and loved her, as they mourn her passing - may they all find their strength and comfort in Christ.
